Eamonn Sadler
Eamonn Sadler, Jakata based publisher, travel
writer, editor and marketing specialist focused on the internet
and its potential for the hospitality, tourism and recruitment industries.
Over the last ten years Eamonn Sadler has provided his marketing
expertise to many international hotel chains in Asia and has been
involved in several tourism publications. He was responsible for
the Visit Indonesia Program launched in 1999 from concept to implementation
and has worked with the Indonesian government at ministerial level
to achieve its goals. In 1999/2000, he worked with the British government's
Department for International Development (DFID) to promote energy
conservation and environmental awareness to hotels across the Indonesian
archipelago.
His editorial expertise has been utilised by many magazines and
newspapers in Asia, among them Heritage, Mercantile, Hilton Gazette,
Food and Beverage, What's On Jakarta, Community Manila and Expat
Philippines. His hotel marketing expertise has been utilised by
Le Meridien, Century, Pan Pacific, Santika, Sheraton and many others.
For the last three years he has been studying the impact of the
internet on the tourism and hospitality industries and has been
researching ways to maximise the potential of this new tool. He
is currently the webmaster, editor and artistic director for six
web sites and is cooperating with several organisations to develop
more.
Eamonn was born in Oxford, England in 1962 and was raised and educated
in the same city. He now lives with his wife and daughter in Jakarta.
